From Jewelry Parties to Wrap Nights, Vote Wraps

This week was another great wrap & lose fat week with 2 Spa Wrap Nights, but first I have to tell you about going to a jewelry party.  I am ever so glad that I am a distributor for It Works and that my products are as easy as pie to sell, and that I never have to be pushy (not that I would be)….but you know how people are.

Anyway, I go to this jewelry party with a friend, not intending to buy anything, but I see this beautiful bracelet with pink stones…just gorgeous.  So you put down what you want to buy and at the end, all of a sudden the rep picks up my sheet, and she says very loudly….oh, I see you want this bracelet, it is $459.  And if you get this bracelet now, you will get this, and this, and this for only $36.  Well, for starters, I was mortified that she had announced out loud what I was spending to everyone there, but it got worse.  She then said, well if you spend another $275, then you get can get 3 more things free.  I thought what?  Spend another $275…is she kidding?  No, she was not kidding.  I looked at my friend, and said, you know, we are late for the movies….let’s go and I’ll decide later.  Decide later means I will never order for me.  What gets into people?  I was spending $500 that I didn’t have, and you want me to spend more?  And the ethics of privacy and just plain manners??? 

My friend and I left and I exclaimed that I am so glad I sell wraps.  It might not be the most glamorous product or high ticket product, but the wraps work, and I don’t have to hard sell.  In fact, all I do, is put on the product, talk about our supplements, then measure, then help with the orders.  This is not rocket science, I don’t have to try hard.  You know that being a distributor for anything takes work and determination, but at least with It Works, I can just be me….I don’t have to be the sales person we love to make fun of…the person that hard sells, or cajoles, or embarrasses.  I just could not imagine the jewelry distributor at a wrap party….she would probably announce my hip size to the crowd.  That would make for some big laughs….okay, today, we have Nancy measuring in at 40″ in the hip area.  We are going to wrap her hips in hopes that we can reduce the hip area.  Total absurdity!  Hands down, I vote for wrapping the night away.  Oh and we lost 32″ this week at wrap nights!
